According to the Investment Week Fund Services Awards for three years in a row it was.  Although Investment Week Fund Services are not the only entity to recognise Jersey who has also received awards and recognition from the likes of Citywealth IFC and WealthBriefing European.
For three years in a row Jersey fought off stiff competition from the likes of Guernsey, Dublin and Luxembourg.
The Investment Week Fund Services Awards recognise knowledge and expertise in the industry with the winners selected via a system of both online voting and an esteemed panel of judges.
Over the past year Jersey has made significant developments to its fund environment  with its recommendation for a third country passport under the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD), which was previously only available to EU countries, and its focus on fund alternatives seeing a significant growth of around 15% in assets.  It prides itself on the evolution of its fund services to meet both investor demands and changing global regulatory standards.
Last years’ Investment Week Fund Services Awards were held in London on the 4th October 2016 and despite the developments the award went to Luxembourg, but Jersey’s efforts over the past year were not in vain for although they did not secure the award for a fourth year in a row they were the only Jurisdiction among the finalists to be highly commended.
